I’m a software developer by trade. I earned my Bachelor’s in Computer Science at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2019. See Merit Pages. I interned and worked at Farm Credit Services of America in Omaha, NE for several years, where I mainly developed internal applications with Angular, TypeScript, C#, .NET, and SQL Server. In 2022, I moved to North Carolina and took a remote position at Oracle, where I’ve been working on cloud services: first the Database Tools Service, and now the Document Generator Pre-Built Function. In this role I use Java, Terraform, Python, and Bash.

I’m also a husband and father. In Fall 2024, we moved back to Nebraska to be closer to family when my daughter was born, so we’re currently located in what is apparently known as the Nebraska Outback.

Aside from work and family, one of my biggest interests is Christianity. I grew up in an exclusivist, fundamentalist Christian sect known as the Two by Twos. I became an atheist as a teenager when I learned more about other religions, philosophy, science, and history, but I’m still interested in all of these topics because of the big impact they’ve had on my life.

Of course, I have a long tail of other interests. When I have time, I enjoy video games like War Thunder, Civilization VI, Skyrim, Minecraft, and many more. But I also enjoy getting outside to walk, hike, and even sometimes run. And I’m interested in personal finance and frugality, thanks to discovering Mr. Money Mustache in high school.
